Community
The community at large benefits from the integration of empowered, self-confident young men and women who have learned from our simple yet powerful message: "Tri, and you can master anything in life." Preparing children for the future as active, healthy and motivated leaders of our community is essential.

The number and variety of benefits for children, which result from participation in physical activity and sport, has been documented abundantly in the body of sociological research (President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sport, 1997). The enhanced quality-of-life benefits include improved physical health, psychological well-being and educational development.

Poverty effectively limits access to physical activity, especially for young people of color. And, the sport of triathlon can be cost-prohibitive for many. Tri-Masters aims to help children realize the physical, psychological, academic and social benefits of sport, through access to organized, effective and fun triathlon training.

The program’s youth athletes also participate within the community through volunteer activities. And, since the program encourages participation from family and friends, Tri-Masters reaches even further into the community to achieve total commitment and involvement.
