Rules for ParticipationBe sure to read this information carefully. You will be prohibited from participating or removed from the course if you violate any of the following rules: • Participants are required to submit the completed USAT Waiver form at packet pick-up. Failure to do so will disqualify the registrant from participating in the event (no refunds). The signature of a parent or guardian is required.
• Although a bike safety inspection is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you do so at a local bike store prior to race day. There will be VERY limited race day services (minor adjustments and tire inflation only). If an Event Official deems your bike unsafe, you will be prohibited from participating in the event (no refunds). • ANSI, CPSC or SNELL approved helmets are required during the cycling portion of the event. Helmets are inspected at entry to transition.You will be prohibited from participating if you don’t have an approved helmet (no refunds). Helmets must be buckled in place during all aspects of the biking event (including transition). • Participants are prohibited from riding their bikes in transition and must mount and dismount at the exit and entrance to transition. • Participants are required to attend a pre-race course talk taking place at 6:45am for the South Shore Tri and at 8:45 am for the Tri-Masters Invitational Kids Triathlon, at the Swim Start. • Parents and friends are prohibited from entering transition and helping participants at any time during the event. Volunteers will be on hand to assist participants during transition. • Participants are prohibited from striking or impeding the progress of another participant.
